Using live demonstrations, we'll show how systemic issues can lead to IoT devices being hacked and exploited, and examine why authorities still fail to deal with this growing issue. We’ll also give advice for parents/kids/friends about IoT security.

After this session you will be able to

  • Understand the key technologies that enable the IoT, and also cause it's insecurity.
  • Understand of the complexities and business drivers that make the IoT a security shambles.
  • Make better buying decisions, and take the correct course of action if they are compromised.
  • Describe why adoption of IoT technologies should be considered with caution, and when security testing should be undertaken.
